Reedley College remains in fifth place in the Central Valley Conference after a 3-0 loss in Visalia Friday night to the College of the Sequoias Giants.

Set scores were 25-15, 25-15 and 29-27.

Coach Shannon Jefferies' Tigers will close out the season this week as they host second place Merced on Wednesday at 6pm before traveling to Ridgecrest for a 5pm match with the Cerro Coso College Coyotes.

Tiger sophomores Patricia Thomasian (Minarets), Madison Gardner (Kingsburg) and Ashlynn Palmer (Firebaugh) will be honored before the Merced match.

In Visalia, Beatriz Jimenez (Dinuba) and Gardner led the Lady Tigers with five kills each. Gardner also added three blocks while setter Katelyn Velazquez (Reedley) was credited with 16 assists.

The loss dropped Reedley to 7-7 in conference play and 10-12 overall.
