The third time wasn't a charm for the Reedley College women's volleyball team on Friday night in Reedley.

Taft College recorded its third win of the season over the Lady Tigers by recording a 25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 25-15 win.

The loss dropped Reedley to 6-5 in the Central Valley Conference and 9-10 overall while Taft improved to 7-4 and 10-13 overall.

The Lady Tigers go on the road to face first place Fresno City on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 5 pm before hosting West Hills Coalinga at 6 pm on Friday, Oct. 27.

In the loss to Taft, sophomore Madison Gardner (Kingsburg) led the Lady Tigers with 21 kills and had a hitting percentage of .378. Freshman Beatriz Jimenez (Dinuba) followed with 14 kills. Setter Katelyn Velazquez (Reedley) had 44 assists.
