Tigers lose to West Hills Lemoore 3-1

Reedley College's women's soccer team had its first lead ever on Tuesday afternoon at Immanuel High School's County Line Stadium.
The only problem was that the Tigers kept the lead for just 29 minutes before suffering a 3-1 loss to the West Hills Lemoore College Golden Eagles.
Freshman forward Nayeli Oceguera (Orange Cove) gave the Tigers the lead by scoring on a shot in front of the Eagles' goal in the fourth minute.
West Hills Lemoore came back to tie it in the 33rd minute on a goal by Marissa Stenschke. The Golden Eagles took the lead for good two minutes into the second half as Bethany Sumner scored the first of her two goals in the half.
The loss dropped Reedley to 0-5 in the Central Valley Conference and 0-8 while West Hills Lemoore improved to 2-2 and 3-8-1.
The Tigers close out the first round of conference action Saturday with a 2 pm match at Clovis Community College.
