Tigers Lose to COS 64-58

The Reedley College women's basketball team gave second place College of the Sequoias all they could handle Wednesday night in Reedley before falling by a 64-58 score in Central Valley Conference action.

The contest was five times with eight lead changes. COS 8-2,24-3) led 54-40 through three quarters before Kaitlyn Guizar hit a pair of 3-pointers to lead a Reedley (3-6, 12-11) comeback.

Nyla Curtis led the Tigers with 15 points before fouling out with just over a minute remaining. Guizar finished with 14 points while I'man Conley had 13. Nay Nay Martin had a game-high 15 rebounds.

COS took advantage of 29 Tiger turnovers and outscored Reedley 31-11 off those turnovers. The Lady Giants also scored the Reedley bench 23-6.

The Tigers play their final regular season home game at 3 pm Saturday against first-place Merced. It will be the final home appearance for sophomores Curtis and Martin.
