On a cool and very windy day at Big 8 Conference Tournament #2, the Tigers WON the 8-Team tournament against every team from Northern California.  Reedley shot a solid team score of 382 on the very difficult Chardonnay Golf Course layout, 22 shots over par for the day, and outlasting all of the other teams in the conference by 13 shots.  Considering that most of the Reedley team had only seen the course one time before the tournament, their effort on the day was very solid!  The leading scorer for the Tigers was the trio of Chase Bird, Elias Pettersson and Miguel Villa, who all shot scores of 2-over par 74's.  All three Tigers were Tri-Medalists, meaning that they were the best overall scores on the day in the 48-man field!! Preston Harris and Jacob Moller were the next Tigers to post with good rounds of 80 (+8).   Elias, Chase and Miguel were playing in the #2, #3 and #5 spots respectively in the Tigers lineup on the day, showing the talent and depth of the RC Tiger lineup!! The 1st place tournament finish for the Tigers was a terrific victory so early in the season, and enabled them to claim 1^st Place overall in the Big 8 Conference team standings, but the Tigers know that there is a lot more golf left to play.  Next up on the schedule is Big 8 Conference Tournament #3 in Stockton on March 13th. The host school is San Joaquin Delta College, and The Reserve at Spanos Park will be the challenging venue. The Tigers will be bringing their Top 6 guys to the tournament to compete on the day.  A tee time start is scheduled for 11:30 am.
