Reedley Wins Conference Tournament #2.

On a warm, calm, and very beautiful day in Madera, with temperatures in the 70's, the Tigers finished first in Big 8 Conference South Division Tournament #2.  Reedley shot a team score of 380 on the Madera Golf & Country Club course, 20 shots over par for the day for the 5 counting scores and 3 shots better than host Fresno City College (383). The Tigers contributed 15 Birdies as a team for the day! The leading scorers for the Tigers were Freshman Cole Obrigewitsch and Emil Eriksson, who shot season-best rounds of 74 (+2). Emil made 4 Birdies on the day, including shooting a 34 (-2) on the back 9 for his solid and consistent round.  Cole posted a 34 (-2) on his front 9 on the way to his terrific round. The next best score came from Miguel Villa, who posted a good round of 76.  Freshman Jack Peters fired a round of 77, making 10 pars and 2 Birdies on the day for his solid effort.  Jacob Moller posted a round of 79 to cap the scoring for the Tigers.  The victory for the Tigers leaves them with a 7-0 regular-season record.  Next up on the schedule is Big 8 Conference Major Tournament #3 for the Tigers at Stockton Golf & Country Club.  Every team in Northern California will be present at this event. A shotgun start is scheduled for 11:30 am at this old traditional country club in the city of Stockton.
