The Tigers hosted the 4th Big 8 Conference tournament of the season at Kings River Golf & Country Club in Kingsburg, the Tigers home course, at a 68-year old golf course with a lot of character surrounding the beautiful layout. The weather conditions were very nice, with sunshine and temperatures in the mid '70s.  The Tigers played a solid round of golf as a team, shooting a 375 (+15) on the afternoon, and placing them 1st among the 4 teams.  The team score was the 7th best score ever recorded at Kings River GCC in Tiger program history!! The greens were firm but smooth and made scoring very difficult on the afternoon. Approach shots that landed on the greens often rolled out, putting the golf ball a farther distance from the flagstick than the Tigers would like. The Tigers tallied 11 Birdies on the day, and outlasted the conference competition by 36 shots! The Tigers improved their overall head-to-head record at KRGCC to 70-1 since 2011, winning 23 of 24 tournaments during that span!! Leading the way for the Tigers was Emil Eriksson, who posted a fine round of 1 over par 73, and was the Individual Medalist for the day, garnering his 1st college victory! Cole Obrigewitsch and Josh Bennett each posted rounds of 75, finishing in a T-2nd overall ranking for their efforts.  Patrick Sperling and Jacob Moller each gutted out rounds of 76. Jacob was able to overcome a double bogey early in his round, displaying his mental toughness and determination. Patrick made 14 pars in shooting his +4 score, showing great consistency on the afternoon.  The team score was well ahead of T-2nd place finishers Fresno City and Monterey Peninsula College and allowed the Reedley team to continue their dominance in the Big 8 South standings after 4 tournaments. The Tigers left with a record of 3-0 for the day, and an overall record of 18-0 on the season, 17-0 in the Big 8 South Division, and enabled the Tigers to build a comfortable nine-point advantage over 2nd place Fresno City College after four tournaments.  Next up on the schedule for the Tigers will be another Big 8 South Division Tournament at Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey on Wednesday.  Monterey Peninsula College will serve as the host, with tee times scheduled to begin at 12:30 pm.
