Tigers take 9th at the Mt. San Jacinto Invitational.

On a beautiful sunny and warm day in Beaumont at the Eagle Golf Classic, the Tigers finished 9th overall in the 16-Team tournament field against many of the best teams from Southern California.  Reedley shot a team score of 394 on the difficult Tukwet Canyon Champions Golf Course, 34 shots over par for the day.  The leading scorer for the Tigers was Freshman Adam Nelson, who shot a 3 over par round of 75, putting Adam in the Top 10 overall in the 94 player field.  The next best score was Freshman Morgan Cooper, who posted a good round of 77, including only 29 putts on the afternoon.  Freshman Dylan Otto shot a round of 79.  Sophomore Amardeep Manku also posted a round of 79.  Lastly, Freshmen Bailey Flickinger and John Karayan split the 5th and final team score by shooting 84's to cap the scoring for the Tigers.  The 9th place tournament finish for the Tigers was not what the Tiger golfers were looking for, but they will take home some very valuable lessons that will help them to improve as conference play begins next week.  Next up on the schedule is C.V.C. Tournament #1 at Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno. The host school is Fresno City College, playing their neutral site to start the C.V.C. season for 2018. The Tigers will be looking to defend their 2017 conference championship in the C.V.C. with a strong performance. Tee time is scheduled for 12:30 pm.
