Hannah Lovering sets 3 record in one day at Conference Tournament #10!

October 17, 2017  -  The Tigers played Central Valley Conference Tournament #10 at Lemoore Golf Course in Lemoore, and came away with great memories!!  The weather conditions were warm, with temperatures in the 80's, and there was some wind. The greens were in very good shape, though, and the Tigers putted very solidly on this afternoon.  Leading the way for the Tigers was Hannah Lovering, who posted a school record individual round of 67 (-5).  Hannah shot 33-34 for her nine holes, and was under par all day long! Hannah also tied the CVC record on the day, as well as setting the course record at Lemoore GC!  Monique Torres-Jimenez also had a fine day on the course, shooting a very solid round of 79.  Kaitlyn Perez rounded out the scoring with a 109.  Hannah leads the C.V.C. for the Tigers as she continues to build her lead in the conference standings, maintaining her goal of being named the M.V.P. with only 2 tournaments remaining.  Next up for the Tigers will be a tournament on Tuesday at Dragonfly Golf Club in Madera.  The West Hills - Lemoore Golden Eagles will be the host for this neutral C.V.C. Tournament.  Tee time is scheduled for 12:00 noon.

Yesterday at Lemoore Golf Course in Central Valley Conference Tournament #10, Reedley College Women's Sophomore Golfer Hannah Lovering had a record-setting performance!  Lovering, from Buchanan H.S. in Clovis, shot a 67 (-5), which is a Lemoore Golf Course tournament record for a female golfer.  It is also a Central Valley Conference Individual Scoring record (women's golf started in 1995), and a Reedley College record (program started in 2009).  Hannah made 6 Birdies on the afternoon, shooting a 33 (-3) on the front 9 and a 34 (-2) on the back nine.  Hannah hit 11 of 14 fairways, 16 of 18 greens in regulation, and got the 2 greens she missed up and down for par.  If not for 1 3-putt, Hannah would have executed a Bogey-free round on the day (which has never been done in RC golf history!)

Hannah also increased her lead in the C.V.C. race for the Most Valuable Player to 56 shots over the 2nd place contender.  Hannah's scoring average in the conference is a tremendous 74.30 through 10 tournaments, which is also a record!
