Tiger Football was on the road in Pittsburg, CA to open the 2017 season against Los Medanos College. The Mustangs got on the scoreboard early with a pick six. They followed that with two more first quarter touchdowns. Los Medanos scored two more touchdowns in the second quarter. The Tiger offense scored the first points of the second half with a 17 yard touchdown pass fromRandall R. Johnson to Will McKinnis. Tiger running back Carl F. White scored a one yard TD in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Randall R. Johnson added a five yard TD with 2:53 left in the fourth quarter.

Leaders for the Tigers included:

 Randall R. Johnson was 11-27 for 125 yds 1 TD and 1 INT

Johnson also added 50 yards rushing on 8 attempts with a TD

Trevion D. Perryman had 47 yards on 9 attempts.

Carl F. White had 12 yards and 1 TD on 8 attempts 

Will McKinnis had 4 receptions for 86 yards and 1 TD

Defensive leaders included:

DB Theartist l. May had 6 tackles, DL James Caradine had 5 tackles, and LB Chris Paz had 2 tackles for a loss and 1 sack. 

The Tigers have a bye this week. On September 16 they wil travel over 450 miles to Eureka, CA to play College of the Redwoods (0-1)
