Two Central Valley Conference home matches netted a win and a tie last week for the Reedley College women's soccer Tigers.

Friday night's 1-1 tie with the College of Sequoias Giants (0-3-1, 6-5-3) left Reedley with a conference record of 1-2-1 and an overall record of 7-4-2.

Reedley returns to the pitch on Tuesday, Oct. 29 for a 3 pm contest at Clovis (3-1, 5-6-2) before starting the second round of conference play with a 4pm home match on Friday, Nov. 1 against the Taft College (3-1, 8-5-2) Cougars In Taft, the Cougars opened CVC action with a 2-1 win over the Lady Tigers.

"COS was able to score against the run of play halfway through the first half," reported Tiger assistant coach Ian Lynch. " We continued to push and Sabrina Cabrera scored on the last touch in the first half. We continued to look for the win in the second half, but It just wasn't in the cards. We hit the post numerous times on the night and couldn't convert despite taking 30 shots."

Cabrera is currently second in the CVC with 14 goals.
