Reedley Wins Another CVC Tournament.

The Tigers played at Lemoore Golf Course with spectacular team golf.  The weather was warm and sunny, with breezes at 5-10 mph, and the greens were firm and bumpy, so putting was going to be a challenge, making scoring conditions difficult on this day.  The Tigers won the tournament by 4 shots over the rest of the C.V.C., shooting a score of 367, or 7 shots over par for the 5 counting scores, and made 14 Birdies as a team!  Leading the way for Reedley was Morgan Cooper, shooting a superb round of 71 (-1), and claiming overall team medalist honors.  Morgan was solid all day in achieving his best ever competitive round of his career!! Adam Nelson shot a fine round of 73, converting 6 Birdies on the afternoon! Amardeep Manku and Bailey Flickinger both shot terrific rounds of 74 for the Tigers, finishing in the Top 5 scores overall for the tournament.  Dylan Otto completed the scoring for the Tigers by posting a round of 75 on the day.  The victory extended the Tigers win streak in the Central Valley Conference to 2 tournaments, winning 6 out of 8 tournaments played in 2018, and are now in first place by 5 points in the standings with only 4 tournaments remaining in the regular season. The Tigers' point total has them at 30 points, with Taft in 2nd with 25 points.  West Hills-Lemoore is in 3rd place with 14 total points, and Fresno City is currently in 4th place with 11 points. The Tigers will play in the State Preview Tournament on Monday at Sandpiper Golf Club in Goleta at 11:00 am for a shotgun start. Santa Barbara City College will be the host school for this big invitational tournament.
