Men's Basketball Is Runner-up at James Clark Classic

Reedley College brought a second-place plaque home from the 41st annual Jim Clark Classic over the weekend.

The Tigers defeated Napa Valley 78-68 and host Cosumnes River 76-66 before losing to Las Positas 79-74 to leave Coach T.J. Jennings' squad with a season record of 8-3.

In the win over Napa, Hassan Bolden scored 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. The sophomore from Madera South went 19 of 21 from the foul line. Anthony Vallin came off the bench to score 14 points while Uriah Carter added 11 points and 9 rebounds.

Reedley rallied from a seven-point deficit in the win over Cosumnes River, outscoring the Hawks 16-2 to take a 61-54 lead. Reedley was led by Hassan Bolden with 28 points and 11 rebounds. Uriah Carter also added 24 points & 9 steals in the victory.

No statistics were available for the Los Positas games.

This week, Reedley travels to the Foothill College Tournament in Los Altos Hills, facing DeAnza (2-9) Friday at 4 p.m., San Jose City (3-7) Saturday at 4 p.m. and the host Owls (7-3)  Sunday at 3 p.m.
