The Tiger Football Team had the 2nd toughest schedule rating in Nor Cal and could possibly qualify for a bowl due to a strong NCFC power point rating. The Tigers finished the season on at 4-6 after losing the Battle for the Pump vs. FCC last weekend, but their is still a glimmer of hope to get one more chance to end on a win!
The NCFC still has two more make-up games to be played this Saturday and the NCFC bowl committee will make their selections on Monday, Nov. 25th. The Tigers are sitting at 9th in the NorCal power point system. The top four teams (Modesto, San Mateo, Fresno, & American River) qualify for 3C2A state championship playoffs with the next six teams (Butte, Foothill, COS, Sierra, Reedley, & DVC) all bowl eligible.
The Tigers fought hard all season and Coach Hartenfels stated that he's hoping for one more game, "the boys deserve another shot after grinding all season long against the top teams in the state!".
The Valley Conference of the NCFC proved to be the toughtest with Modesto and FCC at the number 2 & 3 ranked teams in NorCal respectively. Reedley played all five of the top six teams in the NCFC and will hopefully be rewarded for their efforts.
Stay Tuned!! & GO TIGERS!!
