Tiger Softball wins 5 straight

Reedley bounces back strong after a tough defeat vs. COS.  They went back to the grindstone and put in the hard work to win 5 straight.  The Tigers are now 5-2 in conference play and hold 2nd place in the CVC behind FCC.  Overall they move to a 12-6 record.  They'll play at home tomorrow for a non-conference double-header vs. Ohlone College at 12 & 2pm.

In a game between Taft and Reedley on March 12, 2024, Reedley emerged victorious with a final score of 10-2. Taft started off strong, scoring two runs in the second inning courtesy of a home run by C. Moyer and a single by J. Gallardo. However, Reedley quickly took control of the game, scoring two runs in the first inning and adding four more in the fourth inning, highlighted by a three RBI double by H. Zapien.

Reedley's offensive power continued in the sixth inning, with Zapien adding another RBI double and A. Castillo, E. Olea, and A. Wright contributing RBI singles. Taft struggled to contain Reedley's offense, committing three errors in the field.

On the pitching side, Taft's I. Navarro struggled, giving up 10 runs (7 earned) on 10 hits over 6 innings. Reedley's T. Sanchez and A. Wright combined to hold Taft to just 2 runs on 8 hits.

On the other hand, Taft struggled to get their offense going, managing just 3 hits in the game. Pitchers H. Hendricks and I. Navarro had a tough time on the mound, giving up a combined 20 runs.
