Sports Return To Reedley College For Fall 2021

Fall sports at Reedley College are back. Football, women's volleyball, women's golf, and women's soccer are back following a year off for the pandemic.


About 30 members of the Reedley Youth Football 7th and 8th-grade teams attended Saturday's scrimmage and barbecue to watch and learn from the Tiger football team.
Reedley, under new head coach Rob Hartenfels, is preparing for Saturday's scheduled to scrimmage at Monterey Peninsula College, before opening the season at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton on Saturday, September 4th at 1:00 p.m.
The Tigers are scheduled to face Delta twice this season with the Mustangs coming to Reedley on Saturday, October 2nd. Reedley's home opener is set for Saturday, September 11th with a 1:00 p.m. match-up with College of the Siskiyous.
Reedley, with the current squad of about 90 players, plays in the new Valley League against Sacramento City Modesto, West hills Coalinga, College of the Sequoias, and Fresno City College.

The 2021 Reedley College women's volleyball team is being led by assistant coach Madison Leighty as head coach Mariah Roby recently gave birth to a child.
The Tigers are preparing for an August 28th scrimmage at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo before officially opening the season on Wednesday, September 8th at Monterey Peninsula College.
Three of the Tigers 12 players are returning sophomores. That list includes Rylee Harmon and Nikole Rodriguez of Reedley and setter Megan Gentry from Liberty. Among the freshmen on the roster are Haley Brett (Immanuel) and Reedley High graduates Lexie Canale,  Vanessa Rodriguez, and Lauryn King.

Tiger women's soccer coach Onesta Francis and his squad are scheduled to scrimmage Porterville United this Friday at 7:00 p.m. on the Tiger Field. Reedley officially opens the season on Friday, August 27th hosting Cerro Coso college at 7:00 p.m.

Coming off a shortened 12-0 conference championship spring season, the ReedleyCollege women's golf team opens a new season at the South Coast invitational innVentura on Monday, August 30th.
Coach Scott Stark's roster includes returnees Maya Chao and Cynthia Reyes. Avery Foster from Clovis is expected to be one of the top players in California. She is joined by newcomers Avery Cordero (Madera) and Michaela Thomas (Clovis East).
