Reedley College will have to wait and see if the Lady Tiger women's soccer team qualified for the Northern California Regional playoffs.
A seeding meeting was scheduled for Tuesday to determine the 18 teams that advance to the regionals.

Last week, head coach Onesta Francis'squad finished the regular season with a tie and a loss, leaving the Lady Tigers in fifth place in the six-team Central Valley Conference with a record of 2-6-2 and an overall record of 8-8-3.

"We had a couple of tough games," said Coach Onesta Francis. "Against COS we came out a little flat-footed and went down 2-0. We fought back strong to make it to 2-2. Against Clovis was kind of the opposite. We came out strong. Missed a couple of early opportunities and we ran out of gas late and made a couple of mental errors to allow them to score."

Last Friday, Reedley dropped a 3-0 decision to Clovis. The Tigers managed only eight shots on goal and goalie Sarah Cabrera had nine saves.

On Nov. 12, Reedley battled back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the College of the Sequoias Lady Giants 2-2. Sabrina Cabrera had both goals for Reedley in the 72nd and 86th minutes, giving the freshman from Dos Palos a conference-leading 20 on the season.

Her sister, sophomore Sarah Cabrera, recorded five saves and finished with a conference-best 146, 47 more than the second-place goalie.
