Hello, and welcome to the Reedley College Women’s Golf website!  My name is Scott Stark, and I would like to introduce you to the Tiger golf program.  Last season, the 2018 Tigers finished with a 23-1 head-to-head match record, the best winning percentage of any season in the history of the program.  We were the C.V.C. CHAMPIONS, the 3rd overall Championship for the program!! In five seasons as the Head Coach of the Tigers, we have an overall record of 117-23, including 110-22 in the Central Valley Conference.

In 2018, the Reedley College Tigers captured the Central Valley Conference Championship for the 3rd time in the program’s history with a record of 23-1.  We were champions of all but one of the twelve conference tournaments and finished with a total of 47 points in the final team standings.  The Tigers advanced to the postseason for the 4th time in 5 seasons, finishing in 3rd Place at the Northern California Championships, and 5th Place at the California State Championships!

The Tigers were well represented on the All-CVC team in 2018.  Five members of the 2018 team made the eight-woman squad.  Serena DiMauro was the 2nd best player in the C.V.C. and was joined by Maddie Caesar, Lauren Costa, Carley Lindlahr and Eliza Hernandez, who were all unanimously voted for all-conference honors.  Also of note, five of the top eight-stroke averages in the conference were Reedley Tiger golfers.

Kings River Golf & Country Club is the home course for the Reedley College Tiger Golf team.  At 5556 yards, with a slope of 70.9 and a rating of 123, it is a very difficult but extremely beautiful golf course.  KRGCC has been great to Tiger golf for many years, and we hope to continue that relationship for many more years to come.

The 2019 Reedley College Tigers Golf team will consist of many talented golfers from around the Valley. Anyone is welcome to try out for the team.  All interested golfers must set a class schedule that leaves Tuesdays and Thursdays open, as those are the days we compete in tournaments in our conference.  All classes should be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and each student must be out of class by 2:00 pm on those days to attend practice, which will begin at 3:00.  You can take night classes on Mondays and Wednesdays as well, but should not begin before 6:30 p.m.

As for my background, I have a B.A. degree in Sociology from Stanford University.  I was a scholarship quarterback out of Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo.  I also have a Master’s degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida.  I have been a full-time faculty member in the Health/Physical Education department at Reedley College since 2010, but have been a full-time faculty member in the SCCCD for 21 years (since 1999).  This will be my 6th season as the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Reedley, and my 15th year as a golf coach in the district (5 years at FCC, 4 as an Assistant at RC, and 6 as the Head Coach at Reedley).  My family consists of my wife Erin, whom I have been married to since 1992, and my two boys, Brian, 19, a Freshman on the Oklahoma State Golf team, and Tyler, 17, a junior at CVC.  We live in Kingsburg.
