Women's Basketball Wins On The Road Over West Hills Lemore

With two wins last week and a modest three-game winning streak, the Reedley College women's basketball team moved into sole possession of second place in the Central Valley Conference.

Coach Dan Kilbert's squad improved to 5-2 in the CVC and 10-13 after posting a 60-52 win at West Hills Lemoore. Earlier in the season, Reedley fell to the Golden Eagles 64-56 in Reedley. On Wednesday, Jan. 29, the Tigers recorded a 74-34 victory over Porterville College at home.

Reedley has only one game this week, traveling to last place Taft on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 6 pm.

Amanpreet Kaur did not play in the first meeting against West Hills but came up big in both wins. She had 14 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocked shots against Porterville before getting 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting with 11 blocks against the Golden Eagles.

Annie Lopez had a big week, scoring a season-high 30 points in the win over the Pirates before adding 13 points against West Hills. Aurelie Bravo added 17 points.
