April 18, 2022 - The Tigers came in 2nd place on the day by 2 strokes, even though they played some of their best golf of the season, shooting a season-best team score of 371 (+11). Leading the way for Reedley College was Patrick Sperling, who shot an EVEN par round of 72, contributing 4 Birdies and finishing in 3rd Place Individually overall out of 48 players on the day. Cole Obrigewitsch posted the next best round of 73, converting 3 Birdies and also finishing in the Top 5. Emil Eriksson posted a 75, not playing his best golf but grinding out a competitive score for the Tigers. Jacob Moller also posted a 75 for the Tigers, making 4 Birdies and an Eagle on the way to his very solid score. Jack Peters rounded out the scoring on the afternoon with a 76. Jack also made 4 Birdies on the day, making the total of 17 Birdies for the Tigers on this cool and windy day in the Napa Valley, also a season-high! Reedley was happy with their play, but not satisfied with the result of a 2nd place finish, and know that they must continue to improve as they get closer to the end of the regular season. The Tigers' record in the Big 8 Conference now stands at 36-4-1, winning 5 conference tournaments to date, and overall the Tigers are 37-4-1 on the season. The Tigers still hold a 15-tournament advantage over the Fresno City team. Reedley has 65 points, and 2nd place FCC has 50 total points. Reedley only has one more tournament left in the 2022 Big 8 Conference regular season. The focus for this team is now to finish the regular season strong, and hopefully on a positive note! The final tournament will be held at Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey. The tournament is slated to begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 pm on Wednesday.
