Men's Golf Wins Big 8 South Tournament #2

The Reedley College men's golf team won it's second Big Eight South tournament in Stockton on Monday by a margin of 15 strokes over Folsom Lake College.

Coach Scott Stark's Tigers shot a 382, compared to 397 for Folsom Lake.

Chris Chomyn (Irvine) took medalist honors with a round of 71 while teammate Matt Frith (Australia) took second with a 74. Other Tiger scores included Tommy O'Rourke ( Australia) with a 78, Noah Kozack (Saskatchewan) with a 79, Justin Kim (Australia) wIth an 80 and Beau Willett with an 80.

The Tigers are scheduled to return to the course on Wednesday, Feb. 12 in San Jacinto, CA for the Eagle Golf Classic, hosted by Mt. San Jacinto College. Tee-off is at 11 am. Next Monday, Feb. 17, Reedley competes in the third conference tournament at Taft.
