Men's Basketball Wins On The Road Over Cerro Coso

Five days after a 50-point loss in Visalia, the Reedley College Tiger men's basketball team made the three and a half hour trip to Ridgecrest and came home with a victory on Monday night.

Coach T.J. Jennings' Tigers recorded a 73-70 victory over Cerro Coso Community College to improve to 1-3 in the Central Valley Conference and 7-9 overall going into a Wednesday, Jan. 16 6 p.m. home matchup with the West Hills College Lemoore Golden Eagles (0-5, 0-17). The Lemoore squad is playing its first season of organized basketball.

Ruben Parks led Reedley with 25 points in the win over Cerro Coso while Uriah Carter added 18.

On Saturday night, the Tigers head to Sonora for 6 p.m. contest with the co-leader in the CVC, the Columbia College Claim Jumpers. On Wednesday, Jan. 23, the Tiger men host West Hills Coalinga at 5 p.m. It will be the first game of a doubleheader as the Lady Tigers host Merced at about 7 p.m.

In the 87-37 loss to the College of the Sequoias, Dwayne Howell and Uriah Carter both had 10 points to lead Reedley.
