Women's Equestrian Heads To The Postseason

On Saturday, the Reedley College women's equestrian team finished the regular season at the UC Davis show in Woodland. But the season continues for four Tigers after the IHSA Zone 8 Region 1 Regionals on Sunday at the same venue.

Regional champions Stephanie Blanc (Clovis North) and Savannah Burnett (Cental, Fresno) will be joined by Jessie Miles (Minarets) and Corin Lamont (Yosemite) at the IHSA Western Semifinals in Galva, Illinois on March 21 and 22. The semis are hosted by Black Hills College.

"We had a great season," said Coach Desi Molyneux. "We finished third as a team and had four regional qualifiers."

Blanc was the regional champion in Rookie Horsemanship while Burnett was the regional champ in Beginner Horsemanship. Miles finished second in Open Reining while Lamont was runner up in Level 1 Horsemanship.
