Tiger Baseball Sweeps West Hills

After sweeping three games over West Hills Coalinga, the Reedley College baseball Tigers play two non-conference games this week before returning to Central Valley Conference play on Tuesday, April 19.

At this writing, the Tigers are tied for fourth place with Taft in the conference (Reedley is 9-8 in the CVC and 18-12 overall) with one round remaining. Each team plays a conference team once in the final round. Reedley draws a trip to Coalinga to face West Hills on April 19.

The Tigers host Bakersfield in non-conference action on April 12 before heading to Bakersfield on April 13.

Reedley had to rally from a 6-2 deficit to finish the sweep over West Hills Saturday at Tiger Field. Four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning did the trick as Isaiah Ochoa's third hit of the game drove in Leo Arrequin with the go-ahead run.

Arrequin drove in five runs in an 11-2 win over the Falcons on April 5 with a home run and a triple. Nilen Peoples added two doubles and a single to the attack.

On April 7, Roman Rosales had three hits to lead the Tigers to a 12-2 victory.
