Tiger Baseball Opens 2019 With Three Straight Road Games

The Reedley College baseball team will travel to the Bay Area this weekend to play three games in the course of three days. The first match will feature the Tigers and the Laney College Eagles. Laney plays in the Bay Valley Conference, they were 20-20 in the 2018 season. Reedley and Laney met on opening day last year. The Tigers won 5-2. 

 

Saturday's game will be against Marin College. The Mariners also play in the Bay Valley Conference. They were champions last year, finishing with a 28-14 overall record before being eliminated by San Mateo in the playoffs. Marin's field is not ready for use the game will be held at a neutral site. Sunday, the Tigers will play the Sierra College Wolverines. This game will be played at Skyline College in San Bruno. The two squads played last year on opening weekend. Sierra won both of those games. The Wolverines play in the Big 8, they finished in second place with a record of 35-12 last year.
