NORCAL RECAP
The 3C2A NorCal Championships were hald at the fabled Half Moon Bay CC Old Course and the Tigers took to the tournament like a duck to water-placing 1st by 31 strokes. This was the 3rd consecutive NorCal Championship for the Tigers and the 8th in program history. Freshman Tommy Evans was the Tournament Medalist with a two-day score of 149 (+5).
3C2A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
The State Championship at Bayonet GC in Seaside, CA (Monterey) was played in some pretty difficult and windy conditions. The Tigers posted a team score of 381 after day 1 and were in 2nd behind College of the Canyons by 8 strokes. Tommy Evans was tied for the lead after posting a 2-under par 70. Reedley battled through the wind and shaved off 5 strokes in their chase for 1st, but Canyons were able to hold off the comeback. On the individual title, Tommy Evans was tied for the lead after two rounds with 148 (70,78), which forced a sudden death playoff on the par 5 first hole. However, an unfortunate lost ball off the tee was the deciding factor. The Tigers placed 2nd in state as a team with a two-day score of 765. Tommy Evans was the runner up on the individual front and was named to the 3C2A All-State Team.
In all, it was another great season for the Tigers. They'll be back next year and try to make another run for the state title. Congrats to Coach Stark and the team on all their success this year.
GO TIGERS!
