Women's Golf Wins Tournament #2 By 57 Strokes

Even though it wasn't their best outing, the Reedley College women's golf team still defeated Taft College by 57 strokes at the North Kern Golf Course in Bakersfield on Sept. 10.

Reedley outscored Taft 318-375. In Kingsburg earlier in the season, the Lady Tigers defeated Taft by 90 strokes.

The Tigers had a balanced scoring attack against Taft. Leading the way on Sept. 10 was Serena DiMauro (Central) with a 78 while Monica Yu (San Diego) was right behind with a 79. Alyssa Bendure (Clovis) shot an 80 while Serena Garcia (Dinuba) was next with an 81.

Reedley remained in first place in the strong Big 8 Conference pending results from a Sept. 12 tournament in Napa which did not include the Tigers.

Reedley returned to action on Sept. 17 at the Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno.
