Tigers Win Again At Sunnyside

On a sunny, beautiful and very nice day in Fresno, the Tigers placed 1st out of the three teams in the Central Valley Conference tournament hosted by the Fresno City College Rams. Reedley shot a team score of 348, 17 shots ahead of the host FCC team on the day.  Fresno City College shot a team score of 365.  Taft College finished in the last place with no team score.  Sunnyside Country Club proved to be a course that provided a very difficult test of golf for the Reedley team to play.  The leading scorer for the Tigers was Freshman Serena DiMauro, who posted a round of 79 and finished in 2nd place individually for the afternoon.  Maddie Caesar shot a round of 85, finishing in 4th overall on the day. Lauren Costa carded an 89, and Eliza Hernandez concluded the scoring for the Tigers with a round of 93.  The Tigers now own a 9 point advantage over Fresno City College in the team standings and have 36 total points to date.  The Tigers now need to focus their attention on the next Central Valley Conference tournament at North Kern Golf Course on Thursday.  This tournament, hosted by Taft College, will be a very important test of golf, mainly because the Tigers played the golf course extremely well the first time around, posting their best team score of the 2018 season!  Tee time is slated for 12:00 noon in Bakersfield.
