The Tigers played an up and down round of golf on a sunny, warm and absolutely beautiful afternoon at their home course, Kings River Golf & Country Club in Kingsburg. With temperatures in the high 70's and very little wind, the Tigers posted a team score of 354 to finish in 1st place in C.V.C. Tournament #8, 19 ahead of 2nd place Fresno City College. Leading the way for the Tigers was Maddie Caesar, who posted a 3rd best individual tournament round of 82. Eliza Hernandez shot a round of 90, including a 10 stroke improvement from the front nine to the back nine on the day (50 strokes versus 40 shots). Carley Lindlahr, playing even though she did not feel well, posted a courageous round of 91. Serena DiMauro also carded a round of 91 to cap the scoring for the Tigers. The 8th straight C.V.C. victory enabled the Tigers to improve their record to 16-0 in the C.V.C. and on the season. The Tigers are looking forward to their next tournament at Bing Maloney Golf Club in Sacramento on Tuesday. The format is a Stableford Scoring System, where each of the players will accumulate points based on their scores for each hole. It should be a lot of fun. Tee time is set for 12:00 noon in south Sacramento. The Sac City College Panthers are the host school for this unique event.
