Women's Golf Wins Fifth Straight CVC Tournament

The Reedley College Tiger golf team played C.V.C. Tournament #5 at Fig Garden Golf Club and won by 23 shots over Fresno City College, the 2nd place team in the CVC.  The Tigers played solid team golf, with all 4 scores at 90 or better, shooting an overall score of 339 in beautiful 80 degree sunshine with slightly breezy conditions.  The Tigers had the overall tournament Medalist on the afternoon, as Serena DiMauro posted a very fine round of Even par 72.  Serena made 3 Birdies on the day, and shot -2 under par (34) on her back 9 holes.  Serena's round was 5 shots better than the next best player in the field.  Maddie Caesar carded an 87, and Lauren Costa and Eliza Hernandez each shot rounds of 90 to cap the scoring for the Tigers.  Reedley won their 5th straight conference tournament on the season, and extended control of their Central Valley Conference 1st place position in the CVC standings.  Reedley is now in the lead in the overall points standings over Fresno City College with 20 total points, 5 points ahead of the Rams.  The Tigers improved to 10-0 on the season, and are looking forward to the North-South Invitational at Morro Bay Golf Course on Sunday & Monday, hosted by the SBCC Vaqueros.  Tee time is scheduled for 8:30 am on Sunday.
