Tigers Extend CVC Lead With Another Tournament Victory

The Tigers hosted the 2nd Central Valley Conference tournament of the season at Kings River Golf & Country Club, a tough course with a good deal of hazards and out of bounds that surround the beautiful layout.  The weather was sunny, with very little wind and temperatures in the mid 90's.  The Tigers took advantage of their local course knowledge, and played a solid round of golf as a team.  Leading the way for the Tigers with a solid effort was Serena DiMauro, who posted a 2nd best score of +7 over par round of 79.  Maddie Caesar carded a solid round of 81, including shooting a 38 (+2) on the back nine.  Lauren Costa shot a solid round of 89.  Carley Lindlahr rounded out the scoring with a 94, not bad for the Tigers' 4th counting score at Kings River Golf & Country Club. The 343 team score was 25 shots ahead of Fresno City College, and extended their lead in the team standings race after two conference tournaments to 2 points over FCC for the C.V.C. leading Tigers.  The Tigers have an overall record of 4-0 on the season in the C.V.C.  Next up on the schedule for the Tigers will be a C.V.C. tournament held at Buena Vista Golf Course in Taft on Tuesday, hosted by Taft College.  A shotgun start is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
