Tigers Compete in North-South Invitational in Morro Bay

September 24-25, 2017  -  The Reedley College Tigers played at the 9th annual North-South Invitational, a 36-hole event hosted by Santa Barbara City College.  The opening round was held on Sunday morning at Morro Bay Golf Course, with very nice weather for the Tigers.  Sophomore Hannah Lovering led the way with a round of 78.  Hannah made 2 Birdies on the day. Monique Torres-Jimenez shot a round of 83, and Kaitlyn Perez carded a round of 110. The early morning second and final round proved to be a very difficult round of golf for the Tigers.  Reedley did not play as well as they would have liked, posting scores higher than they did on Day 1.  Monique Torres-Jimenez shot an 84.  Hannah Lovering carded an 85. Lastly, Kaitlyn Perez shot a 114 to round out the scoring for Reedley College.  The scoring conditions were very difficult, and the putting was very treacherous with tightly placed pin positions.  Overall, it was a good way to spend the weekend on the Central Coast in California, and the Tigers look forward to their next conference match at Buena Vista Golf Course in Taft on Thursday.  Tee time is scheduled for 12:00 noon for C.V.C. Tournament #6.
