Men's Golf Opens 2022 with a victory.

On a warm, calm, and very beautiful day in Turlock, with temperatures in the high 60s, the Tigers finished first in a dual-team match against host Modesto Junior College from Stanislaus County.  Reedley shot a team score of 377 on the Turlock Golf & Country Club course, 17 shots over par for the day for the 5 counting scores and 28 shots better than the MJC Pirates (405).  The 377 team score is the best that the Tigers have shot thus far in the 2022 season.  The leading scorer for the Tigers was the duo of Freshman Zac Ruskofsky and Miguel Villa, who both shot season-best rounds of 72 (Even). Zac made 4 Birdies on the day, including shooting a 33 (-3) on the back nine to conclude his round.  Miguel also posted a very impressive round, making 3 Birdies and shooting a -1 (35) on his back nine as well.  Cole Obrigewitsch fired a round of 76 and made 3 birdies and 9 pars on the day.  Patrick Sperling carded a good round of 78, and Jacob Moller shot a 79 to cap the scoring for the Tigers.  The victory for the Tigers leaves them with a 1-0 regular-season record.  Next up on the schedule is Big 8 Conference South Division Tournament #1 for the Tigers at Taft's Buena Vista Golf Course.  Tee time is scheduled for 12:00 noon at Taft College's home venue.
