Men's Golf Over Bakersfield By 25 Shots

On a sunny, beautiful day in the city of Bakersfield, with temperatures in the low 70's and some wind, the Tigers defeated tournament host Bakersfield College by 25 shots.  Reedley shot a team score of 367, 7 shots over par for the day on the difficult Rio Bravo Country Club course. The team score was a very good score for the Tigers considering the putting conditions for the day were very difficult because the greens were running at about 11.5 on the stimp meter (fast), and were filled with many undulations.  The Tigers played really well, making 17 birdies by the end of the round.  The leading scorers for the Tigers were the combination of Tommy O'Rourke and Morgan Cooper, who posted very solid rounds of 71, -1 on the day and the Co-Individual Medalists for the tournament.  Beau Willett and Dylan Otto both carded rounds of 73 on the day.  Bailey Flickinger capped the scoring for the Tigers on the day with a 79.  The Tigers posted all 5 scores in the 70's on the day, which is a great recipe for success and shows the depth the Tigers have throughout their lineup!  The Tigers now need to focus their attention on the next Big 8 Conference South Division tournament in Bakersfield at the Rig City Invitational at Bakersfield Country Club on Monday.  The BC Renegades are the host for this neutral conference tournament.  A shotgun start is slated for 10:00 am.
