Tigers Win CVC Tournament #9

-  Dealing with pretty decent weather conditions, with temperatures in the mid-70's and partly sunny throughout the day, the Tigers battled the Visalia Country Club golf course and shot a very good team score of 370 (+10).  The Tigers were able to win the tournament by 19 shots over the 2nd place team in the C.V.C., Taft College.  Leading the way for the Tigers was Adam Nelson, who shot an Even par round of 72, and finished in 2nd place individually on the afternoon.  Dylan Otto and Bailey Flickinger both posted solid rounds of 1 over par 73, finishing as the T-4th best scores on the day. Morgan Cooper posted a respectable round of 77.  Lastly, Amardeep Manku carded a round of 77, and the Tigers demonstrated once again their depth throughout the entire line-up.  The Tigers fired 17 birdies during the round, which is a good indication of how sharp they were on the punched putting surfaces.  Reedley was not satisfied with their effort, and know that they must keep improving as they get closer to the end of the regular season.  The victory enables the Tigers to extend their lead in the Central Valley Conference standings to 6 points over Taft College, and their record in conference now stands at 25-2. Reedley only has three more conference tournaments left in the 2018 Central Valley Conference regular season, with the next tournament set for Monday in Madera.  Next up on the schedule is Tournament #10 at Dragonfly Golf Club, the site for the Northern California Regional Championships in May.  West Hills College-Lemoore is the host.  The tournament is slated to begin at 12:00 noon.
