Tigers Take Sixth in Stockton

Under pleasant weather conditions, with temperatures in the mid-70's and some afternoon breezes, the Tigers battled the Stockton Golf & Country Club course and shot a team score of 398.  The Tigers came in 6th place on the day, defeating 8 other teams from Northern California. Monterey Peninsula College, the 1st place team in the Coast Conference, won the tournament, shooting a team score of 379.  Leading the way for Reedley College was Bailey Flickinger, who shot a 5 over par round of 76, and was in the Top 10 players overall on the afternoon.  Adam Nelson posted the next best round of 77, finishing as a Top 15 score for the tournament.  Amardeep Manku came in with a 78, followed by Dylan Otto's 81.  Morgan Cooper rounded out the scoring on the afternoon with an 86.  The Tigers were a little off on this day, and made some critical mistakes on the challenging old course.  Reedley was not satisfied with their effort, and know that they must keep improving as they get closer to the end of the regular season.  Reedley only has five more tournaments left in the 2018 Central Valley Conference season.  The focus for this team now is to finish the regular season strong, solidify another conference championship, and get ready for the Northern California Regional Championships in May.  Next up on the schedule is a tournament at Lemoore Golf Course on Wednesday.  This tournament is a make-up date on the schedule for the rainout that occurred on March 21st.  The tournament, hosted by West Hills College-Lemoore, is slated to begin at 12:00 noon in the city of Lemoore.
