Tigers Take Fourth at Riverside

The Reedley College Tigers played in the annual Riverside City College Invitational, hosted by the RCC Tigers of the Orange Empire Conference.  The tournament was held at The Victoria Club, a beautiful 1903 design and terrific golf course, and the Tigers posted a very solid team score of 378 in beautiful sunny and calm conditions.  The Tigers placed 4th overall in the 11-team golf tournament, representing Northern California very well against the other 10 Southern California schools.  Team medalist honors for the Tigers went to the tandem of Freshman Dylan Otto and Sophomore Amardeep Manku, who both posted very solid rounds of 74 (+4). Both Dylan and Amardeep finished in the Top 10 for the day Individually out of the 66 players in the field.  Freshman Xavier Coreno turned in a very solid round of 4-over par 76.  Freshmen Adam Nelson and John Karayan completed the scoring for the Tigers with 77's on the day.  This was the 3rd straight year that the Tigers have played in this event, and a Top 4 finish after finishing in the Top 3 the last two years was a great accomplishment! Overall, it was a terrific building block for the 2018 season, going on the road for over 4 hours and playing the golf course without ever seeing it beforehand.  The Tigers look forward to their next tournament at Lemoore Golf Course on Wednesday.  The tournament will be a Central Valley Conference tournament against Fresno City, Taft, and West Hills-Lemoore.  It will also be the 3rd C.V.C. mini tournament for each of these 4 divisional rivals. Tee time is scheduled for 12:00 noon in Lemoore.
