Men's Basketball Loses On The Road

 

The Reedley College men's basketball team dropped to 2-5on the young season after a 97-76 loss at Foothill College in Los Altos on Nov. 22.

The contest was tied at 41-all at halftime before the Owls outscored the  Tigers 56-35 in the final 20 minutes. Josiah James led Reedley with 17 points but had eight of the Tigers' 20 turnovers in the loss. Makhi Turner netted 16 points while Dwayne Howell followed with 12.

This weekend, the Tigers return to the court facing Sacramento City College on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the James Clark tournament at Cosumnes River College in Elk Grove. In the round-robin tournament, Reedley faces Los Positas College on Friday at 3 p.m. before a 4 PM matchup with Cosumnes River at 4 PM on Saturday.

Fresno City College is also in the tournament, facing the same teams as the Tigers.

After the tournament, Reedley returns home for a 7 p.m. matchup with College of the Redwoods on Dec. 8. All visitors must show proof of a Covid vaccine or negative test results within 72 hours prior to entry. Masks are required in all indoor facilities.
