Men's Basketball Improves To 2-0

With an unbelievable comeback on Saturday afternoon in Saratoga, the Reedley College Tiger men's basketball team improved to 2-0 in 2019-20.

Led by Uriah Carter's 23 points, Reedley rallied from a 25-point deficit to defeat West Valley 84-74. Hassan Bolden followed with 15 points while Richard Corona netted 13.

"I was really proud of the way we battled back to our first-half struggles," said Tiger head coach TJ Jennings. "While we got down early we never quit and I'm thankful it worked out in our favor. We have got to start games better and execute our game plan but I loved our heart and hustle."

The Tigers join Columbia and the College of the Sequoias as undefeated teams in the Central Valley Conference.

This week, Reedley will play three games in the West Hills Lemoore Tournament, which is the site of the state tournament next March.

On Thursday at 4 pm, the Tigers take on Folsom Lake (0-3) before a 2 Pm Saturday game against the Hartnell College Panthers (1-1). The tournament concludes with a 2 Pm Saturday contest against the Cosumnes River Chiefs (1-1). Cosumnes opened the new season with a 90-76 loss to Columbia while Folsom Lake dropped a 94-81 decision to the Claim Jumpers.
