Freshman guard Uriah Carter (Central, Fresno) missed eight of his 11 3-point attempts in his first college game in Modesto on Nov. 6.
But his third trey of the contest proved to be the game winner in Reedley College's 90-87 victory over the Modesto Junior College Pirates.
The game-winner came just before the final buzzer and just after (on video) that a Tiger teammate appeared to be out of bounds.
Sophomore Ruben Parks led the winners with 28 points. Carter just missed a triple-double after recording 22 points, 11 steals, and eight rebounds. Khalid Wilkins followed with 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
The Tigers head to Northern California for a 7 pm Nov. 15 contest before facing Merritt the next night.
