TIgers Lose to FCC 100-59

Scoring 50 points in each half, Fresno City College extended its winning streak to 12 games with a 100-59 victory over the Reedley College Tigers on Saturday in Reedley.

The Rams, ranked third in the state, hold a one-game lead in the Central Valley Conference after Saturday's action. The loss dropped the Tigers to 2-4 in the CVC and 6-12 overall.

Reedley held a brief lead late in the first half before sophomore Jess Spivey hit four straight 3-pointers to help give FCC a 50-33 halftime lead. Spivey finished with a game-high 27 points with seven treys. Tyus Millholin and Drew Cobb each followed with 16 points with Cobb pulling down 11 rebounds.

Alfredo Jimenez (Kingsburg) had 10 of his 16 points to lead the Tigers. Ruben Parks followed with 15 points and eight rebounds while Hassan Bolden had 12 of his 14 points in the first half.

Reedley closes out the first round of conference action Wednesday night by hosting the Porterville College Pirates at 7 pm.
