All Conference Football Award Results

With a dozen all-Golden Coast Conference awards, the Reedley College Tiger football team is ready for it's first postseason game since 2009 this Saturday afternoon in Reedley.

The Pacific-7 Conference champion DeAnza College Dons (9-1) will face the 10-0 Tigers at 2  pm Saturday at Reedley High's Sal Gonzalez Field.

"We are really excited to get to compete against DeAnza College again," said Golden Coast Conference Coach of the year Eric Marty of the Tigers. "They have had a tremendous year, and we know first-hand.

The Tigers outlasted the Dons 57-47 in the season opener on Sept. 2

DeAnza recorded a wild 58-52 overtime win over Yuba College in Cupertino on Saturday. The contest featured 1,338 yards of total offense, 743 by DeAnza. Quarterback Eduardo Andrade, who was the backup against RC, threw for 572 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Reedley is used to facing great passers as they went up against the state leader in Isaiah Arriola-Randalle at Hartnell. They gave up 450 yards in the air in the Tigers' 46-34 win.

After finishing second in the state (66 schools) in rushing touchdowns, sixth in passing touchdowns and ninth in passing yards, Randall R. Johnson was named the Golden Coast Conference Offensive Player of the year and all-GCC quarterback.

Joining Johnson on the all-conference team were running back Jamon Chambers (Tacoma WA) tight end Daniel Baca (Monache, Porterville) and linemen Zack Kadri (Lynnwood, WA) and Joshua Reba (Edison, Fresno). Chambers and Baca are freshmen and the rest are sophomores.

Five of the all-conference selections came from the Tiger defense. That list includes linemen freshman Emylle Jones (Houston. TX)  and sophomore James Caradine (East Chicago. IN), sophomore linebacker Jaylin Talbot (Louisville, KY) and defensive backs freshman James Day (Los Angeles) and sophomore Raul Montalvo (Kerman).
