The Tigers faced the Gavilan College Rams Saturday in Gilroy in a Golden Coast League game. The Tigers won, 41-12. The Rams got on the scoreboard first, scoring a field goal after a fumbled punt by the Tigers. It would be their only score of the first half. Gavilan did not score again until 00:46 remaining in the fourth quarter, by then the score was 35-10. The Tigers had 548 total yard of offense, with 344 rushing yards. Two Tiger running backs passed the century mark on Saturday. Running back Trevion D. Perryman had 18 carries for 126 yards with two touchdowns. Michael Eddings added another 106 yards on 8 carries with another touchdown. Quarterback Randall R. Johnson was 9-20 for 110 yards and one touchdown.
The Tigers defense had another strong game. Gavilan only managed 25 yards on 28 attempts. This is the fifth game this season the Tiger defense has held opponents to under 100 yards rushing. Ajene I. Hammonds led the defense with 5 tackles, a sack, and 3 TFL's.
The Tigers will be at home this weekend against the Merced College Blue Devils. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
