Josh Allen To Play In Senior Bowl

Former Reedley College QB Josh Allen will play one final game on January 27, 2018, when he takes part in the Reese's Senior Bowl. Allen has completed the coursework to graduate as a fourth year junior. 

Allen is the eighth and final quarterback added to the roster. In 11 games this season, Allen passed for 1,802 yards, completing 56% of his passes while throwing 16 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. As a sophomore, he threw for 3,203 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Allen, at 6-5, 240lbs, is a projected first-round pick in April's NFL Draft. 

 

He joins a group of quarterbacks in this year's game that includes Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield from Oklahoma and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner Mason Rudloph of Oklahoma State. The other five quarterbacks on the roster are Western Kentucky's Mike White, Richmond's Kyle Lauletta, Washington State's Luke Falk, Virginia's Kurt Benkert and Troy's Brandon Silvers.

At the Reese's Senior Bowl, Allen will have the chance to practice with the nation's top seniors in a controlled NFL environment and go to meetings under the direction of an NFL staff, as well as meet with all 32 NFL clubs off the field in formal and informal interviews.

The game will be coached by the staffs of the Houston Texans (South) and Denver Broncos (North).

Reese's Senior Bowl week is Jan. 23-27, with the game on Saturday the 27th at 1:30pmCT. It is televised live on NFL Network. ESPNU and NFL Network will broadcast practices live during the week.

 

In the 2014-15 season, Allen was 127-259 for 2055 yards with 26 TD's and only 5 INT's. He did not start until week 5, narrowly losing a shootout with Fresno City College 49-44. Allen was also the Tigers leading ball carrier with 120 rushes for 660 yards and 10 additional TD's
